Phase II Soil Vapor Sampling

Project Details:

Subsurface sampling of soil vapor at varying depths of 5 to 10-ft. below grade surface (bgs) at a current dry cleaners located in Orange County, CA. Phase I ESA indicated the site had formerly utilized a dry cleaning machine equipped with tetrachloroethylene (PCE). PCE, a carcinogenic risk to humans, is a highly mobile contaminant that can readily penetrate the subsurface impacting the soil and groundwater. Purpose of this project was to determine the presence or absence of release from the former dry cleaning machine equipped with PCE.

Scope of Work:

1. Pre-Drilling Activities

2. Soil boring

3. Soil sampling

4. Laboratory analysis
